Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) is the world leader in peristaltic pumps and associated fluid path technologies.

In Q2, 2021 Watson-Marlow Limited Ireland will open a state-of-the-art facility in Cork, Ireland. The new ISO 14644-1 Class 7 cleanroom will be added to the company’s existing Cork site and will be certified to meet the demands of the highly regulated pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector in Ireland. Watson-Marlow’s Ireland-based customers will be able to locally access essential bioprocess single-use assemblies for biopharmaceutical production.

This expansion creates an exciting and challenging opportunity in Ireland for an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Financial Accountant.

 

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Review all Brexit related C&E charges for correctness and completeness.
  • Input SAD data into ERP system for each order - post clearance of customs and excise.
  • Purchase Ledger Maintenance – Invoice Processing and creditor account reconciliations
  • Debtor Ledger Maintenance – Payment Processing and debtor collection
  • Bank Management – Payment & Receipt Processing, Bank reconciliation
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation
  • Expense Forms Cash & VISA
  • Post and process journal entries
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
  • Assist in the annual external audit
  • Support Supply chain as required
  • Other ad hoc duties as required, such as crossing over with other departments.

The successful candidate will need to possess: 

  • Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP experience essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • A positive, can do attitude.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
  • VAT and Excise experience beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of international freight forwarding an asset
  • Curious, keen to learn and grow. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups and individuals
