Belgium’s largest carpet manufacturer picks Aflex

A major carpet manufacturer in Belgium currently uses around 16 2” EPDM rubber hoses on their Chromojet machine. These hoses connect the machine onto various vessels/pumps which contain a colouring agent. The carpet is then fed through the Chromojet machine which allows the colours to print onto the carpet.

The main use for the hoses is to transfer the colouring agent. Using the current EPDM hoses this media was being absorbed within the body of the hose, causing a rigid and brittle liner which eventually broke away from the hose itself.

Aflex had just the solution, supplying a Corroline+ hose with specialised nozzles for the printing process. Aflex’s unique PTFE liner does not absorb any of the colouring and therefore prevent risks associated with rigid hose. Corroline + hose has helped reduce downtime and provided a great return on investment with its longer life.
